Aircraft Interior Parts, CNC Machined to Your Drawing

We machine aircraft interior parts to your drawing: seat frames, hinges, bin brackets, partition fittings and bezels. For interior manufacturers, completion centers and MRO, first article to repeat batches.

What we machine

Aircraft cabin components we machine

Aircraft interior components fall into four families, each with its own difficulty: pocketed thin walls that stay flat, aligned pivot bores, hole patterns matching adjacent panels, and visible faces without tool marks.

Bin brackets are light, pocketed parts machined much like our aerospace brackets. The seat manufacturer runs the 16g dynamic tests of 14 CFR 25.562; we machine to the approved drawing.

  • Seating: frame members, armrest brackets, hinges
  • Monuments and partitions: fittings and hinge blocks
  • Overhead stowage bins: bin brackets
  • Lighting, PSU and trim: bezels and window frames

Material certification and cosmetic finishes

Flammability (FST)

Qualified grade per your spec, material certificates on request; testing stays with the design holder.

Anodizing (MIL-A-8625)

Type II, or Type III on hinge and slide faces: see hard anodizing for interior hardware.

Chem film (MIL-DTL-5541)

A paint-ready chem film base for interior parts the customer paints.

Passivation (AMS 2700)

For 17-4PH and 15-5PH stainless hinge pins and latches, per the drawing's callout.

Cosmetic face handling

Class A faces marked on the drawing, kept free of finishing toolpaths and protected in transit.

Finish samples

Finish samples approved before the batch, so later batches are judged against a physical reference.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Materials, FAR 25.853, cosmetic finishes, batch sizes and documentation for aircraft cabin components.

Which materials do you machine for aircraft interior parts?
Aluminum (6061, 7075, 2024), titanium Ti-6Al-4V, stainless steels such as 17-4PH, and FST-rated plastics such as Ultem (PEI) and PEEK.
Do machined interior parts need to meet FAR 25.853?
The material and the installed part must meet 14 CFR 25.853. We machine the qualified grade you specify and provide material certificates on request; the flammability test is done by the design holder or a test laboratory.
Can you meet cosmetic requirements for visible cabin parts?
Yes, with cosmetic zones defined on the drawing, bead blast and anodize or paint-ready chem film, and protective packaging.
Do you supply small batches and repeat orders for completion centers?
Yes, from first article through low-volume and repeat production. Early-stage prototypes are handled by our sister site AeroRapidProto.
What documentation ships with interior parts?
On request, we supply the documents your program needs: a Certificate of Conformance, material certificates, an inspection or AS9102-style FAI report and lot traceability records. Parts are made under an ISO 9001-certified quality system.

Send your drawing and 3D model for a quote: an engineer reviews it before machining, NDAs are signed on request, and repeat batches follow the same inspection plan.
